The hotel is located in a nice quiet area with easy access to public transport. It is within walking distance to downtown, Japantown, Fillmore Street, and other main areas of San Francisco. The location is perfect and comfortable, around a 4-6 minute walk from a modern cathedral.

Wonderful relaxing and pretty standard place, great for weekend. Unbeatable and magnificent location, in a better area than other union Square hotels better value for money cleanliness. Really close to great bars and restaurants and the waterfront. Comfy bed in deluxe king suite with a refrigerator, a sofa bed and an iron. Marvellous and delicious breakfast selection, caring staff. Early check in and good service overall.

The hotel restaurant was delicious. Hotel manager was a bit abrasive, curt and unfriendly overall. His staff was excellent and made up for his personal shortcomings. A warm welcome from his staffers at every turn!
Not easily accessible-- stairs leading up to lobby are difficult to traverse for the elderly and the handicapped accessible entrance is not well marked or well lit.

The Hotel Majestic is a classic, Old-San Francisco hotel. It's a pleasure to find a hotel that's old-fashioned in style, but modern in functionality. The bar is something out of a Chandler or Hammett novel.

The evening reception staff were far form efficient and rude to every single customer. Additionally they made several mistakes doing the bill and charging the due amounts.
